This is a very informative article covering all the diets for major and common health issues today. Still, I believe that the diets should be customized to the individual and it’s important that we consult an expert for the same. Not all diets work in a similar manner for everyone.
Plain and simple: We just don’t feel full by liquid calories in quite the same way as we do real food. Drinking a juice or caramel coffee drink, for instance, won’t make you feel full the way eating a bowl of veggie- and protein-packed stir-fry will. So monitor your intake of juice, soda, sweetened coffee and tea, and alcoholic beverages. If you consume each of those beverages during the day, you’ll have taken in at least 800 extra calories by nighttime — and you’ll still be hungry. (Incidentally, alcohol may suppress the metabolism of fat, making it tougher for you to burn those calories.) Some other ways to skip sugar? Check ’em out here.
A good place to start? Meditation or yoga. Yoga also burns calories, so that’s two birds with one stone. If nothing else, take 15 minutes a day to sit down and get some zen. Too many days pass by where you don’t get any “me” time!
Studies have found that overweight people who ate a moderate-fat diet containing almonds lost more weight than a control group that didn’t eat nuts. Snacking once or twice a day helps stave off hunger and keeps your metabolism stoked. You can also pack up baby carrots or your own trail mix with the 5 healthiest nuts you can eat, plus raisins, seeds, and dried fruit. If trail mix isn’t calling your name, try these healthy snacks for every craving.
“The best thing you can do for your belly is to give up processed foods. A study in the journal Food Nutrition Research found that our bodies burn only 50 percent as many calories digesting processed foods as they do real foods. So it’s like eating twice as much, even if the calories are the same!” — Mark Langowski, celebrity trainer and author of Eat This, Not That! for Abs
Ephedrine: Significant safety concerns have been reported about this product, even to the point of it being banned as a dietary supplement ingredient in the U.S. Reported reactions include anxiety, mood changes, nausea, vomiting, hypertension, palpitation, stroke, seizures, heart attack and death. Though not all of them cause physical harm, snail oil-esque slim down products can still do psychological harm, mostly because they’re not effective, cautions registered dietitian nutritionist Marisa Moore. “Using products that don’t work can feed feelings of failure and helplessness. The US weight loss industry totaled $64 billion dollars in 2014, yet two out of three adults are still considered overweight or obese. Something doesn’t add up.”
How it works: The DASH diet plan prevents and controls high blood pressure with whole foods that are low in sodium. The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) helped develop the DASH diet, so it’s no surprise it’s the number one diet for a healthy heart. It also tops the U.S. News & World Report’s annual best diets list year after year.
Get moving during your favorite TV shows. Skip, dance, go up and down some stairs, run in place—anything that gets your heart rate up so you feel somewhat breathless, says Geralyn Coopersmith, senior national manager at Equinox Fitness. Do it for each 2-minute break (forget the TiVo) during a typical 2-hour TV night and you’ll burn an extra 270 calories a day—which can translate to a 28-pound weight loss in a year. (Try this total-body toning routine you can do while watching TV.)

Experts say “The Ultimate Volumetrics Diet: Smart, Simple, Science-Based Strategies for Losing Weight and Keeping It Off,” is your best guide to losing weight, maintaining long-term weight loss, and learning to eat nutritious food. Based upon research showing that low-density food will keep you fuller longer, it mitigates one of the biggest enemies of any diet: Hunger. Volumetrics is the science upon which many other popular weight loss programs are based — including Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig. However, it requires you to know your way around the kitchen.
1. Nutrition & Hydration – the body is 70% composed of water, and it’s involved in almost every systemic function – ensuring the appropriate level of hydration prior to your workout lifts your training efficiency, and enables your body to make full use of its fuel for your session. Eliminating refined sugars, going low-GI, opting for a diet rich in lean proteins, pursuing healthy fats (think avocados, olive oil, and fish) & eating little-and-often through the day are the best way to regulate sugar levels.
There are those who consider breakfast to be the most important meal of the day, and preach that it is something that should never be skipped. The logic was that if you missed breakfast, you would be hungrier at lunch, and you might even indulge in pre-lunch snacking. But recent research shows that how much you eat at lunch does not really depend on whether or not you’ve had breakfast.
Since the best fat burners on the market always contain some form of stimulant, there are some concerns for people who have pre-existing conditions that do not allow them to consume products containing ingredients such as caffeine.
